"Haters Gonna Hate"
Alina, Cassandra, Colby, Shirin.
"Haters Gonna Hate"
Alina, Cassandra, Colby, Shirin.
Before the season finale begins, we could see flashbacks of the location, with its savanna and highlands, as well as the wildlife. Giraffes, Elephants, Baboons, Hyenas, Lions, and much more. We could also see a flashback of the original tribe flags : Chencha and Gorgora, as well as some flashbacks from the challenges with special effects. Finally, the jeep was driving on the sandy road of the savanna.
Voiceover – Thirty-six days ago… Sixteen americans were marooned in Ethiopia!
We could see them get off the vehicle and take place in front of Jeff.
Jeff Probst - Welcome to Survivor : Ethiopia!
Voiceover - The game initially started with a battle of the ages.
Jeff Probst - People who are over 32 years old, take place to the right...
Some people were already gasping and moving to the right.
Jeff Probst - Those who are under, take place to the left...
The group was now divided in two.
Jeff Probst - This season, it will be a battle of the ages!
Voiceover - And thought they were challenge for each other...
I think some people are gonna be judging us because of our age and we might not be able to move as quickly, but I can guarantee you that will not be a problem.
Jeff Probst - Morgan, you think your opponents stand a chance?
Morgan - No way! Our tribe is full of young, beautiful people and with beauty lies strength.
Tina - Pfft!
Voiceover - But in fact, the younger tribe won seven out of the eight first challenges!
Jeff Probst - Chencha wins reward! Chencha, Chencha, Chencha... wins immunity! Chencha wins reward! Chencha... Chencha... wins immunity!
We could see all seven victories at challenges.
Voiceover - Completely destroying Gorgora's morale.
All Chencha members were celebrating, while Gorgora are devastated. Bob falls to the ground.
Wendy - Oh no, not again... *sad face*
Confessional Artis - This constant losing streak is just so devastating, I don't know how to put it into words. I don't think I'll even make it to the end.
Voiceover - Having to go to all tribal councils, they started by getting rid of their first two weaker players.
Keith caught the sand bag, but a lot of sand dropped off the bag when he did. We could see him repeatedly fail like this.
Keith's torch gets snuffed.
Russell just arrived with his coconut. He threw it, but rather than ending up in the aimed net, it hit Colby's head.
Colby - UGH. Russell, please.
We could also see Russell throw the coconut in Artis' net.
Russell's torch gets snuffed.
Voiceover - Then, their least social member...
Cassandra - Do you have any ideas for tribal council?
Twila - Nope.
Confessional Cassandra - Twila is very difficult to talk to... So difficult to talk to, oh my god.
Twila's torch gets snuffed.
Voiceover - And finally, they had to make a decision between keeping a member of their majority alliance, Wendy, or a stronger competitor in challenges, Cassandra.
Artis - What are you thinking?
Bob - Well, our options are : one, vote Cass out ; two, break our deal we just made with Wendy.
Artis - I honestly don't know which one.
Confessional Artis - There are a lot of pros and cons to getting rid/keeping either of them. We just pulled Wendy into our alliance, and she's a sweetheart who helps out around camp. However, I haven't really seen her step up in any of the challenges.
Voiceover - And they decided to keep the brawn.
Jeff Probst - And the fourth person voted out of Survivor : Ethiopia...
Jeff Probst - Wendy.
Wendy's torch gets snuffed.
Voiceover - On Chencha, players were more laid back, and didn't have to strategize.
We could see a rat wandering around in the grass. Actually, we realize that Ken was following it, making noises with his teeth to entice it. He eventually succeeded capturing it.
Ken - Yeaaa!
Confessional Ken - I have captured a rat. I named it Charizard.
Voiceover - But a group of four still formed itself, between Alina, Brendan, Erinn, and Colby.
Brendan - You, me, Erinn, Alina would be so strong!
Colby - I'd be fine with that! I'd be down!
Confessional Alina - I feel a four person alliance slowly brewing and I want to keep that idea present. Brendan/Colby/Erinn/Myself all kind of hinted a four person alliance with each other.
Voiceover - But this could all fall apart, when they were surprised by a tribe shuffle.
Everyone get new buffs in their boxes.
Jeff Probst - You are switching tribes!
People look shocked.
Confessional Artis - I think my jaw literally unhinged.
Voiceover - Three members of the Chencha were swapped with three of the four remaining Gorgoras.
We could see the new Gorgora tribe.
Voiceover - And Bob swapped on his own, against five original Chenchas.
We could see the new Chencha tribe.
Voiceover - New Chencha had a plan to throw the next two challenges to boot both Bob and Ethan.
Alina - I think we should just lose the next two. But that's just between you and I.
Erinn - Oh my god!
Alina - What do you think?
Erinn - I was thinking the same thing.
Alina winked at Erinn.
Voiceover - They lost their first time... but didn't have to go tribal council when Ethan had a medical problem, forcing him to leave the game.
Ethan - I have been constipated for several days now. aaaaahhh!!
Doctor - Can you describe the pain?
Ethan - I'm just blocked up, and it's very, very, very painful.
Doctor - How long?
Ethan - Days.
Doctor - This is getting very dangerous. His stomach or intestine could easily tear up if this keeps going.
We could see Ethan get pulled out.
Voiceover - When they tried to throw again, they failed, and won immunity!
Jeff Probst - Chencha wins immunity!
Bob did his victory fist, while Alina and Colby looked at each other, annoyed.
Confessional Colby - My reaction to us winning immunity on the outside : Yay, thank you! On the inside : Shit. Yeah, that didn't work out as much as we wanted...
Voiceover - With divisions being three to three, Ken suggested to be a flipper, and help Gorgora have a fighting chance at the merge.
Ken - I've wanted Brendan out since day one. He's just gonna run back to his buddies on Chencha at the merge.
Tina - Tina - Yeah, and if you're open to working with us, then we all have a way better chance at merge.
Ken - I'm voting Brendan no matter what.
Voiceover - But he didn't talk to Cassandra, and she didn't like it.
Cassandra - He approached you before he had even met me.
Tina - Cass, you're leaning more towards working on Morgan/Brendan to vote Kenny... and Artis, I'm guessing you're leaning more towards trying to go with Kenny to vote them.
Cassandra sighs.
Confessional Cassandra - I guess it's the first time any of us really disagree. I believe that we should work on Morgan and Brendan to vote off Kenny. Someone who really wanted to flip you would think would tell all people in the group they want to flip to. You would also think they would make more of an effort to bond. So it seems fishy to me.
Voiceover - She forced the vote to go on Ken, and little did they know, this was going to be Gorgora's biggest mistake.
Jeff Probst - That's 2 votes Artis, 2 votes Ken, and one vote Brendan. One vote left...
Jeff Probst - And the sixth person voted out of Survivor : Ethiopia... Ken.
Ken's torch gets snuffed.
Voiceover - On Day 19, tribes finally merged!
Bob - "Congratulations! You have merged!"
Everyone are excited as they get the new golden buffs.
Voiceover - And a twist was added to the game : a hidden immunity idol was hidden at their camp.
Bob - "In addition, there is a twist."
Everyone turns around quietly, listening to the twist.
Bob - "Hidden, at your camp, will be a hidden immunity idol.
Everyone - Ooooh!
Voiceover - With the tribes merged, Brendan and Morgan immediately rejoined forces with original Chencha, creating an unstoppable six that planned on exterminating Gorgora.
Alina - So what do you guys want to do!
Erinn - Go for Gorgora!
Voiceover - And the elders were systematically eliminated, one ...
Bob's torch gets snuffed.
Voiceover - After the other...
Artis' torch gets snuffed, as well as Tina's.
Voiceover - Until only Cassandra remained.
We can see Cassandra remaining at tribal council.
Voiceover - With her back against the wall, her only chance of survival was immunity, and she did it!
Jeff Probst - And with that move, we have a guaranteed winner!
We could see all Chencha being annoyed.
Jeff Probst - Cassandra wins immunity!
Voiceover - This forced Chencha to betray one an another, and the victim of it was Morgan, because she was too much of a threat by perception.
Alina (to Erinn) - I'm worried about Morgan dominating.
Erinn - Yah that is my big concern too.
Alina - Would you want to do it this round?
Confessional Alina - I'm scheming to keep my goats, mwahaha!
Voiceover - Morgan even sided with her backstabbers...
Morgan - Cass is trying to get people on board to blindside our girl Alina. I already filled Alina in on it.
Erinn - For real? Wow.
Erinn - I ain't doing it. *chuckles*
Morgan - Me either. I'm #Feminazis all the way.
Voiceover - With no chance to turn it around!
Jeff Probst - Morgan, tribe has spoken!
Morgan's torch gets snuffed.
Voiceover - When they were down to six, Cassandra was still meant to go next.
Alina (to Colby and Erinn) - Cass will be the last red to leave.
Inaudible conversation.
Voiceover - But she luckily survived when Brendan had an infected wound, and was forced to leave the game.
Doctor - I will recommand to pull him out of the game. This is too dangerous, especially in a place like this, with all the mosquitos, it will only get worst. It has to be dealt with, and quick.
Jeff was putting his hand on Brendan's shoulder.
Jeff Probst - You need to know, this is difficult for me as well. I know you've put a lot of work into this, but you need to go.
Brendan wipes his tears, and Jeff/Doctor help Brendan get up.
Voiceover - Last round, in the final five, Erinn finally found the hidden immunity idol after days of searching.
Erinn - OH MY GOD. ON A TOTAL WHIM.
She sees the hidden immunity idol and starts crying.
Erinn - I'M SO EXTREMELY HAPPY.
She grabs the idol wrapped up in the paper. After unwrapping it, she sees an african mask.
Voiceover - And when Cassandra lost immunity and was clearly in trouble...
Cassandra - I just wanted to ask you if there is anything you would do to vote to keep me?
Shirin - Iiiii would, but I'm not sure about everyone else.
Voiceover - Erinn gave her the idol to shake the game!
Erinn roots in her shorts... and grabs the hidden immunity idol wrapped up in the paper. She removes the paper and shows Cass the african mask.
Erinn - This is yours now.
Cassandra - Really?
Cassandra looks unsure to take it.
Erinn - I'm dead serious. I'm actually extremely wary, but I'm giving it to you anyway.
Cassandra finally takes it.
Cassandra - Oh my god, thank you so much!
Erinn - I love you to death Cass, and I don't want to see you go out like this.
Voiceover - But little did she know, Alina and Shirin were also planning on the same thing.
Alina looked around to make sure no one would listen.
Alina - Let's save Cass. You and I are guaranteed final three, and we win. I don't want to lose you.
Shirin starts laughing uncontrollably.
Shirin - When is tribal council?
Alina - Tribal council is in 10 minutes.
Voiceover - The only difference... is that Erinn didn't vote with Cassandra.
We could see Erinn having voted for Cassandra, and Cassandra playing the hidden immunity idol.
Voiceover - And she was sent packing!
Jeff Probst - Erinn, tribe has spoken!
Voiceover - NOW. Four people remain… and one of them will earn a million dollars? Will it be…
Voiceover - ALINA, the SHEPHERD?
So far, Alina has had solid bonds with all of the Chencha members and had their complete trust. She has been scheming to keep her goats alive and has been behind many of the votes. Will someone finally pull a stop on her? Or will she continue to pull all the stops?
Confessional Alina - I feel like four out of six, I would be their final two, if not all of them.
Voiceover - SHIRIN, the GOAT?
So far, Shirin has been considering herself a goat, and has fulfilled this role. She has worked very closely with Alina, and this is where her allegiance lies. She has been lacking self-confidence throughout the entire game, but will she finally step up and give herself enough credit? Or does she need to?
Confessional Shirin - I can only hope that someone recognises my pure goat status and picks me up to use as a vote doubler. I like Alina the most so... I'm down for her at this point.
Voiceover - COLBY, the SQUIRE?
So far, Colby has been nothing but loyal to his alliances. His main alliance has been Alina from the beginning. He has yet to make any move by himself, but last round, he was completely blindsided. Was this the awakening he needed to step up his game?
Confessional Colby - Alina, and Erinn and I solidified our final 3. I feel comfortable with that.
Voiceover - CASSANDRA, the LAST OF THE ELDERS?
So far, Cassandra has been the last remaining elder since final seven, and has gone to every single tribal council. She has budged all the bullets up until now, can she finish what she started? Or will she get cut short?
Confessional Cassandra - My strategy has just been to be friendly, easy-going and not take things too seriously. I really think it's a big part of the game to really get to know everyone and just be genuine on a personal level.
Voiceover – TONIGHT, two more will be eliminated… TWO will face the jury… and ONE will outlast all the rest… and become the SOLE… SURVIVOR!
HOSSANA, NIGHT 34
The final four was coming back from tribal council. Shirin just put her torch somewhere.Confessional Shirin -
I felt bad blindsiding Erinn and Morgan, because they played much harder than I did. And I don't know, I've just been super anti-social and kind of fell into a majority alliance. I haven't done anything but float and get pulled in as a number when I was needed. I do think I made the right choices when they were presented to me, but it's my fault, I've just been lazy.

Cassandra was there as well.
Confessional Cassandra -
I'm literally a mess. I should have played the idol on Erinn, what was I thinking?! No, what if Alina and Shirin were lying and I really went home? What the fuck? I'm the worst, oh my god. I just realized that if I gave the idol to Erinn I would have gone home! *chuckles* I can't believe I even considered that! Dumb.

Alina immediately went over to Cassandra.
Alina - Where was the idol?
Cassandra - Thank you SO much for keeping me, but I guess I should explain. I got the idol from Erinn so I couldn't just bring myself to vote for her. I thought that would be a huge slap in the face. So I voted for Shirin, I hope you understand. It was in the tree.
Alina - *laughs* Wait, she gave you the idol in order to get Shirin out? Is that what happened?
Cassandra - Well, she gave me the clues. She told me everyone was going to vote for me and just to go with my gut on who to vote.
Alina - I can't believe any of this, but it's a good thing it went down like it did. I wasn't expecting you to whip that out!
Cassandra - Yeah, I am still in shock myself. It's super weird she is gone, but regardless of the idol or not, I am really grateful that you and Shirin were willing to keep me and give me one more chance. I just felt like because she gave me the clues and helped me find it, it just would have been a huge bitch move to vote her out as well.
Alina - No, I agree. It would've been tough. She was giving me clues too, but I was pretty surprised. That was a really good play either way.
Cassandra nodded.
Confessional Cassandra -
Oh my gosh, what a tribal council. I think I am the only person who wasn't shocked at anything that happened. *chuckles*. What are the odds? From being the person who never had any idea what was going on to being the person who knew who everyone was voting? Gosh I have such mixed feelings. I am so sad Erinn is gone and I wish so badly that I had the time to save her. It was like minutes before tribal council. I really hope she doesn't think I planned that with Alina and Shirin because I seriously would never be that awful to her after all she has done for me. In hindsight, what I should have done is just refused to vote out Erinn. Then Alina and Shirin would have just voted for me and I could have sent one of them home and saved Erinn. But wasn't thinking straight when all that was going down.

As soon as Alina finished her conversation with Cassandra, Colby pulled her aside.
Colby - What the hell happened?
Alina - Wow, I'm not sure. I voted Erinn, last minute I got concerned. I knew that she would beat you and I in the end and knew that Shirin would vote with me. Cass voted Shirin. I didn't know she was voting Shirin either. 50% of that was a big surprise to me.
Colby - Well now Shirin is going to the final?
Alina - She can only go to the final three. Did Erinn tell you she found the idol? Cause I'm finding out now.
Colby - How?
Alina - Apparently Erinn found it and gave it to Cass, and said "You know who to vote for."
Colby - Wow.
Alina - It was in the tree.
Confessional Alina -
Making it to final 4 was such a relief. I've been in a very comfortable spot for MOST of the game, but to see that I wasn't you know, blindly led, like I truly made it here and deserve to be here. I'm really glad about that. It's a great feeling. Hopefully the rest of the game is the same way. I'm banking on Cass to go this round, she is the ultimate threat and I am sure that Colby and Shirin will both take me to final 2 if it came to that.

Colby - Why did she vote Cass though?
Alina - She was going to let Cass' vote be the decider and since she gave her the idol, she knew she wouldn't vote her? That's what I'm picking up on.
Colby - Maybe. I just wish you could've told me.
Alina - No, I agree. I come off as shady selfish dipshit now and that's now what I want. I didn't anything Cass was saying though and didn't want wind to travel to Erinn. I'm still going to get rid of Cass and you and me go to the end.
Colby - Yeah, that's what I want as well.
Alina - I'm sorry, I was just second guessing Erinn a lot. I knew/thought she wanted ACE. But why supply her with an idol? Just to get rid of Shirin or me?
Colby - Yeah that's shady.
Confessional Colby -
#Blindside. What the f*ck? That was a slap in the face. This just shows that I'm so out of the loop that you have no idea. So yeah, at this point, I don't really trust Alina. How quick things change. Alina was my final 2 pretty much since the beginning but after the Erinn vote, that has changed. She made a power move (carrying Shirin with her) and I'm sure the Jury will see that. It's clear to me she wants to take Shirin to the end. So I'm really torn on who to vote off next. I really need the next immunities.

Alina reunited in secret with Shirin, high fiving with her.
Alina - SLAY EM!
Shirin - I am fucking dead at the fact that I made final four. Thanks for carrying me, bae.
Alina - *laughs* You did it yourself.
Shirin - Oh my god. *laughs* No, I did NOT.
Alina - I'm giving Colby the "baby please, I lied but it's still you and me."
Shirin - Is he mad?
Alina - Not really.
Confessional Alina -
Shirin is the one I would choose to be standing next to, and not because she's my goat, but because I just enjoy her company. It's like she doesn't have any BS. She's here for a purpose, we can joke and get to know each other but we're friends and business partners first. I think she also doesn't care at all, but I mean that in the nicest way. She is my double vote but she has done a LOT more for herself than she thinks and persuaded me on several things. She won challenges, she has persuaded me to listen to Cass. I think she's good competition but I think she'll be seen as weird floater who didn't care.

HOSSANA, DAY 35
The sun went up for another day. Cassandra and Colby were taking a walk to the tree-mail.Colby - So who did you vote for?
Cassandra - Shirin. Thought everyone would vote for me.
Colby - I was surprised.
Cassandra - Hahaha. It's why I was trying to talk to you.
Colby - So wait, Erinn gave it to you?
Cassandra - Well she gave me the clues, but I told her I found it.
Colby - So she didn't give it to you?
Cassandra - No. *chuckles*
Colby - That's what I'm being told. Ugh.
Cassandra - I phrased it wrong when I told Alina, because I am still kind of in shock.
Colby - Haha me too.
Cassandra - Well hey, we're clearly on the outs. So keep me in mind this upcoming round.
Colby nodded.
Confessional Cassandra -
Up until now I have played almost a completely honest game, but I started lying to everyone. I was still so shaken from tribal council that I was seriously all over the place and telling everyone different things. I told Alina that Erinn gave me the idol, but then decided I didn't want to say that so I pretended that I meant to just say "idol clues" *chuckles*, I was a seriously a hot mess. But to be honest, I don't think it mattered. I think all my luck has run out, I literally don't think I have any shot of making the final 3 if I don't win immunity. But I am still going to try to work on Colby. It's really frustrating how he only talks to me when he needs me, but whatever, it's my only option at this point.

CHALLENGE FIELD
We could see the challenge settlement : There was a large human-sized circular maze with 18 african huts spread across the maze. At the exit, Jeff was waiting on the tribe to come.Jeff Probst - Come on in guys!
Everyone stepped on their mat, and Jeff moved to Colby.
Jeff Probst - Once again, I'll take it back!
Jeff takes the immunity away from Colby, and put it back on its original spot.
Jeff Probst - Immunity... is back up for grabs! For today's challenge, you will begin in the center of a human sized-maze...
We could see someone ready to go.
Jeff Probst - ... filled with Ethiopian huts.
We could see a flyby of the maze.
Jeff Probst - Inside four of the huts, you will find bags of numbered tiles.
We could see bags of numbered tiles inside one of the huts.
Jeff Probst - There are 18 huts, so 14 of them contain nothing.
We could see a empty hut.
Jeff Probst - Once you have collected all four bags of numbered tiles, you must return to the center where you've started.
We could see someone come back with all four bags.
Jeff Probst - The bags will contain tiles numbered between one and one hundred.
We could see a pile of numbered tiles.
Jeff Probst - Your goal is to figure out which number is missing. Once you've figured it out, you will lock in your answer.
We could see someone spin numbers to "85" and they pull on a trigger. A flag raises.
Jeff Probst - First person to finish... wins immunity... and a one in THREE shot at winning a million bucks!
Jeff presents them immunity.
Jeff Probst - Alright, we'll get started! This way!
We could see the Ethiopian huts in the maze until everyone were in the center, ready to go. Jeff was also in the center.
Jeff Probst - Alright! This is for immunity! Survivors ready?
Everyone were ready to go.
Jeff Probst - GO!
Everyone ran through the maze, going to the southern part of it, at the search of the shortest way to a hut.
Jeff Probst - Everyone taking the same corridor! But that's only temporary. You will soon spread across the maze!
We could Colby run at its fastest, changing his mind at a corridor to go on the other. Cassandra collides with a wall.
Jeff Probst - Cassandra too quick! She collides with a wall!
Alina does the same.
Jeff Probst - And another collision! Watch where you're going guys!
Shirin walks into a dead end.
Alina : 0
Cassandra : 0
Colby : 0
Shirin : 0
Colby caught up Alina, and they split right away.
Jeff Probst - Colby going for the huts on the border!
He finally reaches a hut, and gets his first bag from the crate inside.
Jeff Probst - Colby's got his first bag!
We could see time elapsing, as castaways were running through the corridors of the maze, or they would find a empty hut. Cassandra finally reached the hut where Colby found his bag. She grabbed it and got out immediately.
Jeff Probst - Cassandra got her first bag as well!
A little further, Alina also found her bag right after Cassandra.
Jeff Probst - Alina's got a bag as well!
Alina : 1
Cassandra : 1
Colby : 1
Shirin : 0
We could see everyone continue their running across the maze. We see all four of them running from an aerial view.
Jeff Probst - Shirin has yet to find any bag!
Shirin just hits a dead end again. Jeff then looked at Cassandra. She just collected a bag, and pretty much at the same time, both Alina and Colby got one.
Jeff Probst - And three people got their second bag at the same time!
We could see Alina tying the second bag with the first one for easier carrying.
Alina : 2
Cassandra : 2
Colby : 2
Shirin : 0
Alina was running from corridor to corridor, not looking back in the same huts again.
Cassandra just looked into a hut, but it was empty.
Jeff Probst - You will find a lot of empty huts, but only a few of them contain the bags you're looking for!
Colby just ran into one of the huts and discovered a crate on the ground, in which he collected a bag. He got out with it.
Jeff Probst - Colby got a third bag! One more for Colby!
Alina : 2
Cassandra : 2
Colby : 3
Shirin : 0
While Colby was running with his bags, Alina just got into another hut, and collected the bag.
Jeff Probst - Alina's got her third bag now!
She immediately rushed out and started looking for her next one.
Jeff Probst - She has one more to find!
While Alina was running to her next hut, we could see Cassandra hitting a dead end. She then realizes that there's a wall covering the entire north of the maze, and she has to return on her paces.
Jeff Probst - Cassandra is getting lost!
Cassandra still running back on her paces, it's a long way to go.
Jeff Probst - But it can't be worst than Shirin!
Shirin is still lost, then suddenly, Alina just got into another hut, where she found her red bag.
Jeff Probst - Alina found her fourth and final bag! Gotta run all the way back to the center!
Alina got the message and started running back to the center. Colby just found an empty hut. This time, it was faster for Alina, because she didn't have to visit any huts. We could see her do the run from an aerial view, until she arrives at the center.
Alina : 4
Cassandra : 2
Colby : 3
Shirin : 0
Alina was untying her bags, and Cassandra just found a bag. She would then run back in the maze.
Jeff Probst - Cassandra's got her third bag!
She could see the next hut she wanted to visit, but she had to get around a few walls before she gets there.
A little further, Colby just got a bag.
Jeff Probst - Colby got his fourth and final bag!
Cassandra finally turned around the wall and got into the hut, in where she would find the bag.
Jeff Probst - Cassandra's got her fourth and final bag! Both Colby and Cassandra have to run back to the center
Alina just finished untying the bags and started spreading the numbered tiles on her board.
Alina : 4
Cassandra : 4
Colby : 4
Shirin : 0
We could see Alina still examinating all tiles, one after the other, making piles with them.
Jeff Probst - Alina has a huge lead. But anyone could still win!
Colby finally just entered the center.
Jeff Probst - Colby's back! He's gonna start working on the tiles now!
We could see Colby starting to untie his bags, and Alina just moved a pile she finished, counting more tiles now.
Jeff Probst - Cassandra almost there! Only a few more corridors!
While Cassandra was running back, we could see that Colby has already started placing his numbered tiles to figure out which one is missing. He's trying to catch up on Alina's lead.
Jeff Probst - There is only ONE number that is missing. Once you've figured it out, you win!
Alina just found a tile with "100" on it and placed it away on its own. Cassandra finally arrived.
Jeff Probst - Cassandra is back with her bags! You gotta pick it up girl!
Jeff was walking around the tables, watching Alina and Colby counting their tiles, and Cassandra spreading the tiles around. We could see her skip away all those in the twenties, like "21", "23", and "28".
Jeff Probst - Different strategies going on.
We could see the number box, then the immunity necklace. Clouds moved at a faster pace, until we could see that 38 mintutes had been elapsed.
Jeff Probst - We've been on this challenge for 39 minutes! I can see that you're almost done with your numbered tiles.
We could see on all three tables that only a few pieces were left not on in a pile.
Especially Alina's and Colby's out literally just had two pieces left. Alina placed them on a pile, and Colby just looked at them. We could see both of them thinking they have it, and reviewing their tiles really quickly. They were about to run to their number box.
Jeff Probst - Alina and Colby think they have it. It could come down to seconds!
Both of them ran to their number box, and we could see them spin the numbers to lock in their answer. It was stressful, and Cassandra continued to look at her tiles. Colby just finished locking his number, and he pulled the trigger.
And his grey flag released.
Jeff Probst - Colby wins immunity! For the third time in a row!
We could see Colby celebrate and people would congratulate him. Jeff already grabbed the immunity necklace and was coming his way. Colby turned his back around, and Jeff was putting it on his neck.
Jeff Probst - Once again, you are safe at tribal council.
Jeff looked at the others.
Jeff Probst - One of you going home. Grab stuff, and head back to camp!
We could see Cassandra not smiling.
Confessional Cassandra -
The immunity challenge was so hard and stressful. I got super lost in the maze at one point and basically ran back to where I started to go the other direction. Luckily, I found my bags pretty quickly after that and I counted the tiles pretty quickly, but not fast enough. I feel even worst at this tribal council than I did when I thought I was going home last time because I literally feel like I have no chance this time. I honestly feel like I fucked up so bad at the last tribal council. I had the idol and all the info and I didn't play my cards right, and I am so frustrated with myself.

Alina was smiling on her way out of the challenge field.
Confessional Alina -
The challenge was soooo close between Colby and me. And I was thinking wow, this could be my win. Who knows, but damn, it was a matter of like 40 seconds or something and I couldn't believe it. But good for him. The main goal for this tribal council tonight was to get rid of Cass and she doesn't have immunity, so the plan should be a go. Shirin and I are for sure voting Cass and Colby should also be voting Cass, if Cass wins the final 3 immunity, she wins and he wasted his own time. So I think voting Cass is the only logical thing to do at this point. Cass will vote for either myself or Shirin.

HOSSANA, DAY 35
After their exhausting challenge, they arrived back at camp, and Colby just hang his immunity necklace on the hut of the shelter.Alina - You son of a bitch! Hahaha congrats!
Colby - Hahah, wow that was really close.
Alina - Yeah, that was awesome. But at least Cass didn't win. Should be a good tribal council.
Colby - Haha I know, she had no chance. So is it her?
We could see Cassandra wandering around while they would talk about her.
Alina - I mean, Shirin COULD win next round, but I don't think she cares at this point. Especially if it's endurance. If Cass makes it to the end, I think she wins though. What do you think?
Colby - Yeah, she might have like three votes already.
Alina - Yeah, and I'd hate to give her one more shot at immunity, I'm guessing it's endurance. And I think she'd go hard for it.
Colby - I hate those haha.
Confessional Alina -
At this final 4 tribal council, I'm thinking it's going to be a 3-1 vote on Cass. My plan is to stick to it, if Cass goes any further she wins. I've emphasized it a little to both Shirin and Colby. Shirin doesn't care as much at this point. So we're voting Cass and worse case scenario is that Colby makes it tie and I have a fire starter challenge with Cass. But I REALLY don't see that happening. I'm pretty positive Cass is leaving tomorrow night.

While they are talking, Shirin and Cassandra were having a quiet walk.
Confessional Shirin -
I like Cassandra, she's actually really great and it sucks major D that she got the short end of the stick this merge and ended up on the wrong side of the numbers. To be honest, I've actually considered quitting so that she could just take my place because she deserves it and I don't. I wouldn't do it because it's a shitty thing to do! On the other hand, Alina is my number one ally, and I want to stick around to help her get to the end and ultimately win, and that wins out.

HOSSANA, DAY 36
A new day had dawned when the sun rised on the beautiful savanna of Africa. Colby and Cassandra were talking near a tree.Colby - What did you want to talk to me about?
Cassandra - I always want to talk to you! Haha.
Colby - Aww haha.
Cassandra - So what are you thinking for this next vote?
Colby - I honestly don't know.
Cassandra - Well, you should keep me! *chuckles*
Colby - I want that.
Cassandra - Same. I feel like their move last round showed that they would take each other to the final 2.
Colby - Yeah, I think that's obvious.
Cassandra - Well, think about it if you need to, but I would really love if you kept me.
Colby - I know, same here haha. Sooo how willing would you be to vote off Alina?
Cassandra - I would do it, and then hopefully I would win the tie-breaker haha. But hey, anything to keep me safe at this point.
Colby - Yeah.
Cassandra - Would you do it?
Colby - Yeah.
Cassandra - That would be awesome, thank you!
Colby - No problem!
Cassandra left Colby alone.
Confessional Colby -
Well, I have 3 options. If I vote Alina, it's because I lost trust in her after she voted for Erinn with Shirin. She will take Shirin to the finales, and not me. If I vote Shirin, it's just because Alina wouldn't have anybody else and in this case, I think she would take me to the finales. Bringing Cassandra to the end is not an option either because she might already have Brendan's, Artis' and Tina's vote.

While Colby was confessing, we could see him get his torch, and lead the group in one straight line, walking for tribal council. We could see his immunity necklace.
TRIBAL COUNCIL
The sun settled down at slow pace, and the final four were now heading at tribal council with their torches in hand. Jeff was waiting on the them to enter tribal council, one at a time, Alina first, followed by Shirin. Colby just put his torch on a hold, and Cassandra sat down.Jeff Probst - Now bringing the members of the jury... Artis, Tina, Morgan, Brendan... and Erinn, voted out last tribal council!
As he would name them, they would enter tribal council. Erinn, the last person voted out, just took a seat on the opposite side.
Jeff Probst - Woah, Final four! Shirin, did you expect to make it this far in the game?
Shirin - No, and by all rights, I really shouldn't be here!
Jeff Probst - Colby, with immunity, you have a lot more options than others do! Does that make your decision difficult tonight?
Colby - Maybe a little bit. We only have two more days and every scenario is important.
Jeff Probst - Shirin, on the other hand, you have only two options : Alina, and Cassandra. What are the positive points on keeping both of them?
Shirin - I think everyone sees Cassandra as a massive jury threat. she's by far overcome the most adversity to make it here which I imagine would earn her major plus points at final tribal council. I personally really like Cassandra, and that's why I'd want to keep her. I like Alina too though so...
Jeff Probst - Cassandra, what kind of player is the most dangerous at this point of the game?
Cassandra - Probably someone with a lot of patience, since the next challenge will most likely be endurance!
Jeff Probst - Alina, do you think alliances matter anymore at this point?
Alina - Absolutely, even at the final 4, all though its an individual game you have people you want to go to the end with and have formed a mutual bond. I think to go further you'd have to have an alliance, otherwise a 2 or a 3 is a lot better than a 1.
Jeff Probst - Cassandra, do you think you figured out the pairs that want to make it to the end together?
Cassandra - I think I have, yes.
Shirin and Alina were listening.
Jeff Probst - Alina, this game is almost over, and there are more jurors than there are players left in the game. Do you think you've had a good impression on the jury so far?
Alina - I think I've had some good times with most of them, some were more brief than others but I just hope they'd appreciate my game so far. I may have hurt some feelings but you have to hope they don't take it personally and looked at it game wise.
Jeff Probst - Colby, if you make it to the end, what do you think jury will think of your game?
Colby - Well I hope they think I'm playing a solid and loyal game so far and that I'm giving my all in these cruel challenges you give to us.
Jeff Probst - Alright. Before we get to the vote, Colby, you have immunity. As always you can give it up to somebody else if you choose to, otherwise it is yours and you are safe?
Colby - I'mmm gonna keep it haha.
Jeff Probst - Alright. Cannot vote for Colby, everybody else is fair game! It is time to vote, Alina, you're up!
Alina stands up and goes to the voting booth. She takes the cap off the pencil, and when she was about to put it down on the paper, we see Cassandra walking to the vote, followed by Colby who just arrived, wrote a name down, bent the paper, and put it in the urn. We could also see Shirin arriving, and put her vote in the urn before she returns to her seat.
Jeff Probst - I'll tally the votes...
While Jeff was gone tallying votes, we could see Cassandra looking over at Colby, and Jeff returned with the urn.
Once votes are read, decision is final. Person voted out will be asked to leave tribal council immediately. I'll read the votes...
1st Vote...
1 Cassandra.
2nd Vote...
1 Cassandra, 1 Alina.
3rd Vote...
2 Cassandra, 1 Alina
4th Vote...
2 Cassandra, 2 Alina.
Jeff Probst - We have a tie.
Alina looked over at Colby in shock.
Jeff Probst - Alright, Alina and Cassandra...
Alina started whispering at Colby.
Alina - Why did you vote for me?
A lot of their conversation was inaudible because of Jeff's explanations.
Jeff Probst - Since we have a tie at the final four, you will square off in a fire-making challenge...
Alina - It was dumb.
Jeff Probst - one of the most essential element in this game.
Alina - Why let Cass go another round?
Jeff Probst - By Day 36, you should know how to make fire. If you do, it could worth a million dollars.
We could see Cassandra being nervous, and Alina still attacking Colby during Jeff's explanation.
All of a sudden, Alina decides to stand up. She walks over to Jeff, and starts whispering at Jeff at two centimeters from the face to make sure no one would hear.
Alina - I'm not going to do the tie breaker. Let's just pull rocks.
Jeff Probst - We can't pull rocks, Alina.
Alina - I think I might just take 4th.
Jeff Probst - So you forfeit?
Alina - I want it to say quit, not forfeit.
Jeff Probst - That's not really a quit when you did get votes.
We could see jurors and the others trying to hear what's going on, confused.
Alina - By definition I didn't forfeit so I don't want it to say that... That makes me a pussy. I've decided to walk...
Jeff Probst - The votes were read already. Had it been 3-1 would ya have walked?
Alina - No! I would've been voted out!
Jeff Probst - I meant 3-1 on Cass.
Alina - No, I just don't care enough.
Alina turns around and looks at the group.
Alina - Ya know, im not bitter. I'm not going to do the tie-breaker challenge. Cass can have it, I hope you win same goes to you Shirin. Colby good luck but I hope you made a dumb move. Shirin, you're my hero.
Cassandra - Wat?
Everyone look at each other.
Jeff Probst - Alina has decided to give up on the tie-breaker, so come bring your torch!
Alina brings over her torch, and Erinn looks embarassed.
Jeff Probst - Alina, tribe has spoken!
Her torch gets snuffed, and she walks out of tribal council. Jeff then looked at the group.
Jeff Probst - There's one thing that's important to win this game : Will. And this will be put to the test tomorrow. Grab stuff, and head back to camp!
Everyone stands up, gather their torches, and leave tribal council.
FINAL WORDS
Alina was telling her final words after her elimination.Final Words Alina -
I guess just thanks for letting me play. It was fun and I'm anxious for the episodes. I think my outro speech was good enough. Sorry if I had offended production too. I didn't mean to at all.

VOTES
While Alina was telling her final words, we could see whom everyone voted for.Alina voted Cassandra.
Cassandra voted Alina.
Colby voted Alina.
Shirin voted Cassandra.
HOSSANA, NIGHT 36
We could see a baboon up in a tree at night as the final three just arrived back at camp. Among them, Colby.Confessional Colby -
Ew, is that the smell of a sore loser in the air? Seriously, she says no hard feelings and that she's not bitter but she's like: I hope you're doomed and I'm not voting for you and I hope you get zero votes. That, honey, is being bitter. But it's okay, it's nice to know how you are.

Colby - Oh wow.
Cassandra - *laughs* Yeah, I was not expecting to not have to do a tie-breaker and be in the final three.
Colby - And she says she's not bitter, *chuckles* right!
Cassandra - I honestly don't get it at all...
Confessional Cassandra -
I was absolutely shocked that Alina gave up on the tie-breaker challenge. I thought she really wanted to make final 3. I honestly don't really understand why she quit. As much as I love her now, if she's mad at Colby I honestly think that's ridiculous because she kept him in the dark on the Erinn vote.

HOSSANA, DAY 37
It was morning, and Colby/Cassandra were sitting near the campfire in the absence of Shirin.Cassandra - Well Colb, just want to tell you that I truly will take you to the final 2 if I win this last challenge. So I hope you'll do the same.
Colby - Aww thank you! Yeah, at this point, we should just take over. haha.
Confessional Colby -
I kinda tried to avoid the question but I guess that it's gonna another bond that I'm gonna have to break if I win the challenge. Ugh

Colby - I'm pretty sure Alina is going to go around talking trash about me, so I'm probably out of the running.
Cassandra - Even if she does, it's not like the jury will listen to her, considering she never spoke to almost all of them. *chuckles*
Colby - Really?
Cassandra - Yeah, like she literally never spoke to me, Artis and Tina and then after Tina went home, I finally told her that I thought it was rude she never talked to me and then she talked for a long time. Not sure about Morgan and Brendan, but I don't think she was all that close to them.
Colby - I didn't talk much to them either. It was awkward.
Cassandra - Oh well, that's understandable. We were all kind of doomed.
Colby - Yeah, that wouldn't have happened if you had won a few immunities.
Cassandra - Yeah haha so weird how things work out. I'm very grateful to still be here.
Colby - I'm glad you are.
Cassandra - Thanks.
Shirin just came back with the tree-mail. She was reading it outloud, and we could hear a part of it.
Shirin - "On your way to your final immunity challenge, you will be collecting the torches of your fallen comrades."
Cassandra looks excited.
Confessional Cassandra -
I am really excited for the rites of passage. I am one of the few people in the game who met everyone, with the exception of Ethan *chuckles*, but I am looking forward to reflecting on the game and my journey up until this point.

RITES OF PASSAGE
The final three were now moving through the savanna that wasn't their camp. Colby was wearing his individual immunity necklace. They arrived to their first mask. There would be a picture of Keith above that mask.Rites of Passsage (Keith) -
Cassandra - I was so worried I would be the first boot on Gorgora so it was actually kind of a relief when you messed up the first challenge. So as odd as it is to say, thank you.
The other two didn't really see to know him, so Cassandra gathered his mask, and they moved to the next one.
Rites of Passsage (Russell) -
Colby - My number one fan!
We could review a moment of Russell throwing a coconut at Colby's head at the net challenge.
Cassandra - You drove me crazy but in the best way. Your incompetence during the challenges actually was comedic relief.
After we're done rewatching Russell moment's, they moved to the next mask.
Rites of Passsage (Twila) -
Cassandra - I always found it kind of hard to talk to you but I still appreciate all the effort you put into our challenges.
Shirin - Oh my god, that body, I will never forget.
Colby - She seemed pretty fun.
They gathered her mask, and they moved to Wendy's.
Rites of Passsage (Wendy) -
Cassandra - Wendy! I still miss you soooo much. It broke my heart to have to vote you out.
Colby and Shirin looked at each other before they would grab the mask and move to the next one.
Rites of Passsage (Ethan) -
Colby - Oh Ethan! We didn't really talk but it's funny what your fate in the game was.
Shirin - This guy was actually my favourite person in the game by a country mile before he decided to die in my face. we would've made a beautiful weak duo.
Shirin grabbed his mask, and they continued their walk until they stumble onto another mask. It was Ken's.
Rites of Passsage (Ken) -
Colby - You seemed to be a little weasel and jumped ship at the first opportunity.
Cassandra - I felt really bad after that round, but I hope you understand where I was coming from.
Cassandra took his mask, and they moved on.
Rites of Passsage (Bob) -
Cassandra - You were SO helpful in the challenges on Gorgora, even if we lost all of them lol, we would have lost even worse without your help.
Colby - I didn't really trust you and you made me uncomfortable.
Shirin - Bob seemed to take everything weirdly seriously and I wasn't about it.
Shirin took the african mask, and they continued their walk.
Rites of Passsage (Artis) -
Cassandra - My first friend in this game! I can't wait to catch up after this game!
Cassandra was pointing at Artis' picture while speaking her mind, and their next mask was Tina's.
Rites of Passsage (Tina) -
Cassandra - I became so comfortable around you and could tell you anything. THANK YOU for helping me win the immunity challenge I needed the most!
Shirin - Gone too soon, REST IN PEACE.
Colby grabbed the mask, and they walked to the next one.
Rites of Passsage (Morgan) -
Shirin - Pretty sure Morgan was the genius of the season, but she also seemed incredibly paranoid and prone to trainwrecking.
Cassandra - Thank you so much for opening your heart to me and sharing so much with me during this game, it really meant a lot that we could have those conversations while still being on different "sides."
They walked to Brendan's mask for the next one.
Rites of Passsage (Brendan) -
Cassandra - You are SO likeable, and I enjoyed our early chats so much. I am sad things happened and we couldn't continue our growing friendship.
Colby - I was looking forward to playing more with you.
Shirin - I loved this guy. Of course the two dudes I liked the most both were medevac.
They moved on to Erinn's mask.
Rites of Passsage (Erinn) -
Shirin - Ugh this sassy goddess. Adored her.
Colby - Wish you could've lasted longer, I really enjoyed talking to you.
Cassandra - I really felt like I connected with you, considering how much we have in common. I appreciate your friendship in this game and I can't wait to continue it afterwards.
They continued their walk until the last mask, Alina's.
Rites of Passsage (Alina) -
Colby - I'm sorry things had to end up this way.
Cassandra - I am still not entirely sure why you quit, but I guess thank you because I am very happy to be in the final 3.
Shirin - So sad we couldn't get to the end together after all was said and done but I'm beyond glad I met her out here.
With all their masks in hand, they arrived at a pile of wood. They all dumped the masks in there, and a local ethiopian just handed Colby the torch.
Cassandra - Shirin and Colby: It has been so great meeting you two in this game!
Colby and Shirin and smiled, and Colby approached the pile of wood to set it in fire with his torch. The fire got much bigger, and we could see it from an aerial view. All three of them were watching the masks burning. Cassandra was too.
Confessional Cassandra -
I am beyond nervous for the final immunity challenge. Once again, I know I have to win- I really don't think I can catch any more lucky breaks. However, if Colby wins, I have my arguments ready to go as to why he should take me over Shirin. But if Shirin wins, I definitely am screwed *chuckles*. We'll see what happens!

CHALLENGE FIELD
We could see the challenge settlement : There would be an african idol in the center of a desertic area, and three pairs of foot stumps around that idol. Nearby, Jeff was waiting on the tribe to come.Jeff Probst - Come on in guys!
The final came into the challenge field, stepping onto their mat.
Jeff Probst - First thing first... I'll take it back!
Jeff walked over to Colby and took the immunity away from him.
Jeff Probst - For the LAST time... immunity is back up for grabs!
Jeff puts the immunity necklace on its original spot.
Jeff Probst - This is your final immunity challenge. It will come down to one quality : Will. How badly do you want this?
We could see the three competitors one at a time.
Jeff Probst - This is an endurance test. Under the scorching sun, you'll each take a position around the idol.
We could see the idol.
Jeff Probst - You'll step up on the two logs. One foot on each log.
We could see feet standing on the logs.
Jeff Probst - You'll then take one hand and place it on the idol.
We could see a hand touching the idol.
Jeff Probst - Those are your three points of contact.
We could see someone standing on logs and touch the idol with one hand.
Jeff Probst - At anytime, if any of those points of contact are broken, you are out.
We could see someone leave their hand off the idol.
Jeff Probst - You have to keep standing both feet on the log and your hand has to stay on the idol.
Everyone nodded.
Jeff Probst - This is the most important challenge. Win this, and you have a guaranteed spot in the final two. In addition, you will get to choose who will be sitting next to you at the final tribal council. Big stakes!
Cassandra - Oh my god, this is going to be intense.
Jeff Probst - Take your spots, we'll get started!
We could see them getting onto their stumps.
Jeff Probst - Alright. Put one hand on the idol, and keep it there for as long as you can.
We could see Cassandra put her hand on the idol, and Shirin looking at both others.
Jeff Probst - This challenge is... on!
We could see Shirin crack some of her toes, and Jeff walks around the idol, making sure everyone are correctly started.
Jeff Probst - In past seasons, this challenge didn't last any longer than two hours. It is harder than it looks like.
We could see the three of them keeping their hands and feet in place, then after seeing them from an aerial view, time was elapsing as clouds moved at a faster pace. Eight minutes had been elapsed already, and all three of them were still on.
We could see Shirin getting bugged by a mosquito, but she scare it with her other hand. Colby was protecting his head from the sun with his hat.
All of a sudden, we see a foot slip from the stump. It was Shirin, and she starts laughing.
Shirin - I slipped off. Rip.
Jeff Probst - And it is quick like that. Shirin is out of the challenge.
Shirin - Good luck squad!
Shirin takes a spot on the sideline.
Jeff Probst - And we are down to two... Colby...
We could see Colby in the challenge.
Jeff Probst - versus Cassandra!
We could see Cassandra as well.
After seeing them, the clouds started moving as time was passing, and both of them were still standing with their three points of contact.
Fifteen minutes had been elapsed, and we could see Cassandra's feet shaking a little bit on the stumps.
Jeff Probst - Cassandra's starting to shake.
We could then see Colby not moving, eyes closed.
Jeff Probst - Colby is steady.
This disrupts Colby's focus.
Colby - Damn you, Jeff.
Jeff smiles.
Jeff Probst - Stay focused. Don't listen to me.
We could see Cassandra not listening to Jeff.
Jeff keeps moving.
Jeff Probst - Win this, and you are guaranteed a spot in the final two. Thirty-seven days, it all comes down to this.
We could see the idol in the middle from a closer view.
We could also see the sun at its peak. Colby and Cassandra were in sweat.
Jeff Probst - Today is a one hundred degrees. We can see the sweat on your faces.
We could see Cassandra from closer, sweating all over her body.
Jeff Probst - Colby has won three individual immunities, this would be his fourth.
We could see the immunity necklace.
Jeff Probst - Cassandra would be on her second.
We could see Cassandra panting a little, and look over at Colby, still being statue.
After 49 minutes of endurance, we could see both of them still standing in their position. Shirin was watching them, along with Jeff.
Jeff Probst - Nobody is trying to make a deal. This is a very unlikely final immunity challenge.
We could see them still quiet.
Jeff Probst - It is quiet.
Nobody pays attention to Jeff, staying focused on their idol.
Jeff Probst - We have been on this for over a hour now.
Shirin fixes one of her leg, as Colby just fixed his hat.
Cassandra placed a foot in a very risky position, because it seemed like hurting a lot.
Clouds started moving more.
We could see that Colby no longer had his hat, and they were still standing.
Cassandra just scratched her ear with her other hand, because she was bothered by a mosquito.
Jeff Probst - One wrong move, and you are out.
Colby stopped looking at Jeff, and continued looking at the idol. We could see his hand on the idol, as well Cassandra's.
And she removed her hand from the idol.
Cassandra - Shoot.
Jeff Probst - And with that, Colby wins immunity!
Colby - Oh my god.
Colby happily removes his hand from the idol and jumps off the stumps to receive the immunity necklace from Jeff.
Jeff Probst - Well earned. Not only will you plead your case to the jury, but you also get to choose who you are bringing with you. You have a day to figure it out! Grab stuff, head back to camp!
We could see Cassandra grabbing her stuff as she leaves challenge field.
Confessional Cassandra -
I was honestly so heartbroken to lose the challenge. I know it seemed like Colby beat me pretty badly, which he did, but I truly was trying my hardest and ugh it just sucked losing. I know I needed to win this challenge and I was devastated to lose. I really am grateful to Colby for giving me the chance to make final 3. But he just didn't play a strong social game and I don't know if he realizes that.

HOSSANA, DAY 37
A rhinoceros was taking a bath, before Colby would arrive at camp with his immunity necklace.Confessional Colby -
It feels amazing being here on Day 38 and 39. I knew it was gonna be a hard task, but I did it and winning four challenges in the process. This last challenge was really hard and my feet and hands are still hurting a little bit. I knew I couldn't let any of them win because it wasn't a guarantee that either was taking me to the end.

Colby - Oh my god.
Cassandra - That was hard.
Colby - I know. My left hand kinda hurts.
Cassandra - You're a machine.
Colby - Thank you! You fought!
Cassandra - Hahah, I tried to keep up with you. I hope you're still planning on taking me but I can imagine that you're weighing both options so I hope you'll allow me to plead my case.
Colby - Yeah, now it's time to have a perspective on the whole game.
Cassandra - I guess the way I see it is that you and I played two very different games and have different stories, which are easier to compare and contrast.
Colby nodded.
Cassandra - Shirin has been doing a lot more than she lets on to, and this kind of opened my eyes that Shirin might not be the most out there player, but she has her own strategy that has been working perfectly for her as no one has ever even tried to target her. Ever since I was first on a tribe with her, I noticed right away how everyone just LOVES her and even when she does things like screwing her vote because she thought of cheesecake or loses a challenge or wins a challenge, everyone is just all "*laughs* SHIRINNN" because they love her personality and no one could ever dislike her.
Colby continued listening, but wasn't talking.
Cassandra - Her strategy the whole time was just to pretend like she was totally out of it, while in reality she actually was into it and playing her own game.
Colby - That makes sense.
Cassandra - I know it's a tough decision either way but that's honestly how I see it. It's scary. I don't think she's going to roll over and die in the final 2. And I am afraid, as awful as it sounds, that the jury might find it like "funny" if she won and just vote for her to win. Especially if Morgan and Alina are bitter and stuff.
Colby - Yeah I can see that.
Cassandra - I know it might seem like I have two automatic votes with Artis/Tina, but honestly I feel like the fact that they've been on the jury for so long and the fact that both of them are very rationale people and think things through, I don't think they're going to be like "Oh, Cass made the end? There's my vote!" I feel like they'll still weigh the options because they never would just let a decision be made without thinking it through. Because you and Shirin had the same story, coming from Chencha and having mostly the same allies, I feel like it will seem that she got here on her own while you got here on immunity. But next to me, you can kind of tell them that you saved my ass twice and had more power than I did, which is true. Anyways, I'll stop rambling and let you think about it now haha but thanks for listening to me at least and of course I respect your decision no matter what, but I just couldn't go out without telling you my thoughts of course.
Colby - I appreciate it!
Colby let Cassandra go.
Confessional Cassandra -
I truly think Colby should take me to the finals. I think that because him and Shirin have played similar games, it's harder for him to compare his game to hers. Shirin has done more, Colby has just won challenges and has played an awful social game. I also feel like the Chencha people loved Shirin and will think it would be a funny ending if she won. It's always easier to put your game next to someone who you can really contrast your game against; I had to fight for my life every round while he very comfortably made it to the end. Yeah my game was impressive, but he can argue that he saved me and I could never find allies, while no one was even targeting him. Blah, I guess that's the gist of it. I just really hope he listens.

Colby just hang his immunity necklace on the shelter.
Confessional Colby -
Only Cassandra has approached me telling me why I should take her to the finales, and of course Shirin hasn't bothered at all. It's not really a hard decision since I knew who I wanted to take two days ago, but I still have to weight the options to make sure I don't leave Ethiopia as a loser.

While he would talk about Shirin, we could see her meditating in the savanna, leading to an overview of the Ethiopian highlands before we switch day.
HOSSANA, DAY 38
The sun persisted shining on camp, and we could see Cassandra going to Colby.Cassandra - Any update on your thoughts? haha
Colby - So, I have decided. and decided to tell you before... you're gonna hate me but I'm taking Shirin. I just don't see any scenario in which I'll get the most votes to win against you. My apologies, loved playing with you.
Cassandra - Noooooooo please take me! You're not going to win against her. You have more of a shot against me I promise.
Colby - Well, we don't know that.
Cassandra looks sad.
Colby - I'm really sorry.
Cassandra - I think you will definitely have to sell your game hard.
Colby - Why though? I think she kinda sucked to be honest.
Cassandra - I think she played better socially.
Colby - She didn't even talk to Artis.
Cassandra - I thought you said you didn't either? *chuckles*
Colby - Not a lot.
Cassandra - Hey again it's your decision and I respect that but everything I told you about why I think you have a better shot over me was very honest. Just the fact that her and Alina had been quietly making decisions for a long time shows a lot about her game.
Colby - I'm pretty sure it was more Alina. She even had a meltdown in the switch. Saying that she knew she was next until she remembered Bob was there.
Cassandra - If you think you can beat her then by all means take her, but since I'll finally be able to talk to the jury again I am definitely going to talk to them to see what they think since they played with both of you for longer.
Colby - You will know first than me anyway.
Cassandra - I think there might be more to her game than she has let on to, I feel like a lot of her spazziness is her acting to make her seem less threatening but hopefully they can confirm that for me. I'm just sad because I really just wanted the chance.
Colby sighs.
Confessional Colby -
Cassandra, I don't think she's made a lot of decisions during the game and spent a lot of time in the minority. She overcame a lot in the game, last person standing from her old tribe, she's very nice and relatable, she knows how to talk and express her feelings.

After he was done talking about her, we could see the final three gathering their torches. Shirin just grabbed hers.
Confessional Colby -
Shirin, she's the joker of the game. She acted like she didn't care sometimes and even had a meltdown saying she wanted to leave because she knew she was next. I don't feel like she made a lot of moves. Most of the time, she says funny or weird things and people might find it funny or vote for her as the cherry on the top of the cake.

They were now going to tribal council.
TRIBAL COUNCIL
We could see a spider walk onto a decoration of tribal council, then when the camera flipped towards the entrance, we could see the last three remaining Hossana coming in with their torches in hand. Cassandra entered first, Colby put his torch on a hold, and Shirin sat down.Jeff Probst - Now bringing the members of the jury... Artis, Tina, Morgan, Brendan, Erinn, and Alina, voted out last tribal council!
We could see them enter as Jeff named them, and they sat down on the opposite side.
Jeff Probst - Colby, this is your fourth immunity challenge win! This is a new record in the series! How do you feel about that?
We could see Colby's immunity necklace before he would start speaking.
It really means a lot, if I don't win at least I won something.
Jeff Probst - Shirin, you were out in the first eight minutes of the challenge.
We could see Alina look at Shirin.
Jeff Probst - How did it feel like to watch Colby and Cassandra fight it out and have your faith in their hands?
Shirin - More than a bit depressing to be honest. I can't believe I screwed up that early.
Jeff Probst - Cassandra, it was a long battle between you and Colby, do you feel like that's something you needed to win?
Cassandra - Absolutely Jeff. I have needed to win every challenge since like final 7, and once again I came up short. I honestly tried my best but Colby is just a beast at these challenges.
Jeff Probst - Shirin, why should Colby take you to the end tonight?
Shirin - To put it simply, he has a much better chance of beating me than he does Cassandra. there isn't much more to it than that.
Jeff Probst - Cassandra, why should he vote out Shirin over you?
Cassandra - I honestly think he'd have a tougher time beating Shirin. Shirin is a lot smarter than she -at least publicly- gives herself credit for, and I think she has been playing harder than she lets on to. She doesn't have any enemies because she is so likable and fun. I've had like three one-on-one conversations with her and I love her just from those. She's honestly played a great social game, she's laid low when she's needed to and she's come out strong and made moves when she's needed to.
Jeff Probst - Colby, what's the most difficult about a decision like this?
Colby - It might be the difference between being a million dollars richer. I have to weigh both pros and cons about taking either Cassandra or Shirin to the final 2.
Cassandra - Colby and Shirin both have a similar overall story, coming from the dominant Chencha tribe and voting out the same people up until these past two rounds, it will be harder for Colby to find reasons to stand out against her. On the other hand, Colby and I have very different stories and have played very differently, so it will be easier for him to compare and contrast his game against mine. If he keeps me, he could also argue that he saved my ass twice in this game, whereas I feel like Shirin has held her own throughout the whole game. I'm sure it's a tough decision for him, but I think he would be making a better choice by taking me.
Colby listened at Cassandra, then looked back at Jeff.
Jeff Probst - Alright, since Cassandra can only vote Shirin, and Shirin can only vote for Cassandra... Colby, you will be the only person voting tonight. It is time to vote, you're up!
Colby stands up from his seat, and walks to the voting podium under the eyes of the jury. He agitates his pencil for a moment... then finally write something down, and put it in the urn. He returned to his seat.
Jeff Probst - I'll tally the votes...
While Jeff was gone tallying votes, we could see Cassandra and Shirin both looking at Colby, until Jeff returns with the urn.
Once the vote is read, the person voted out will be asked to leave tribal council immediately... I'll read the vote...
And the fourteenth person voted out of Survivor : Ethiopia and final member of the jury...
1 Cassandra.
After seeing her name, Cassandra stands up, grabbing her bag, under the eyes of an angry jury.
She finally put her torch in front of Jeff, ready to go.
Jeff Probst - Cassandra, tribe has spoken!
Her torch is snuffed, and she walked out of tribal council. Jeff then looked at the group.
Jeff Probst - Congratulations Colby and Shirin, you have done what nobody else could do! You will face the jury tomorrow night. Grab torches, head back to camp!
We could see the two of them get their torches, watched by the jury who were all clean, shaved/with make up.
FINAL WORDS
Cassandra was telling her final words after her elimination.Final Words Cassandra -
I am so sad to be out of the game. It was an uphill battle for sure, but I honestly fought my hardest every step of the way and in all honesty, I think I deserved the win. To being on the outs of Gorgora to being the last one standing and pushing through round after round all the way until the final 3. It's a tough pill to swallow knowing that I was one round short of making the finals, but I guess I can't blame Colby for making the decision he thought was best. However, I CAN blame him for having an awful social game. I had a great time and met some great people and hope to keep in touch with them after the game!

VOTES
While Cassandra was telling her final words, we could see whom everyone voted for.Colby voted Cassandra.
HOSSANA, DAY 39
We could see a group of gazelle running through the savanna, as the sun was slowly rising. We were at the Hossana camp, seeing the flag. Shirin just marked the 39th day, and after that, her and Colby went for a walk to the tree-mail, where they would see the breakfeast waiting for them.Colby grabbed the basket.
Confessional Colby -
Day 39. Oh man. I feel soooo blessed to be here and so proud of myself. Sorry, suckers. I bonded, was in alliances, fought, persevered, resisted and here I am. I knew I could it, I knew it was in me. There's still one battle ahead of me but I'm confident that I have enough ammunition to defeat Shirin and win the war. Sole Survivor, baby!

When they brought it back at camp, they started eating. Shirin just took a shot of orange juice.
Confessional Shirin -
I'm actually completely in awe that I made it this far. I guess playing under the radar is a valid strategy after all. I'm not gonna act like everything I did in this game was intentional - I definitely stumbled into a lot of things without much awareness at all - but it all worked out in the end.

Colby was now cutting the pineapple with the machete.
Confessional Colby -
To be honest, I feel iffy. I said in the beginning that I had to work on my social game and of course that's the part that I kinda lacked in the game and I needed it. I know Alina is gonna be a bitter betty - suck it! - but I don't know about Morgan, Tina, Artis. I don't think Cassandra will be but you never know. If Shirin was to be a klutz on purpose then she got me. Hopefully, that's her in real life. I think I might have a fifty-fifty chance.

They realize they didn't read the tree-mail yet, and Shirin starts reading it.
Shirin - "Congratulations! You have made it to the final two. You may now enjoy this feast before you face the jury at the final tribal council!"
They both look inaudibly excited, as Shirin comments.
Confessional Shirin -
I'm terrified, to be honest. I'm worried that the jury will roast me for my perceived game and treat me like a total goat. I'm sure some of them are upset that they left before me when I hadn't really done much for myself in the game. I don't know what the general perception of Colby is, so my chances might not be as bad as I think they are, but I'd be extremely shocked if I managed to pull the win out.

After their meal was done, it was time to burn their shelter down. We could see Colby with the fire in hand, and he just set the whole thing in fire. Everything had been regrouped inside the shelter, even some dirty clothes. Colby was watching it all burn down.
Confessional Colby -
I'm expecting a little bit of bitterness, a little bit of ''You didn't talk to me'', a little bit of ''You did nothing''. But I'm sorry that your asses aren't sitting here and I am. I did have kind of an easy ride in the game with all the immunities won as part of Chencha and all but that's what worked for me and I fought and never gave up. the haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate.

As Colby finished his Repetitio figure of speech, we could see both of them walking through the savanna from an aerial view, going away from the fire.
Confessional Shirin -
I expect at least a few of the jury members to be bitter, not necessarily because they were voted out, but because they might feel they deserved to stay more than me - not wrong, really. - Erinn and Morgan were also blindsided, so I don't think they're gonna be too happy about that. Hopefully they can respect a move well made, though.

FINAL TRIBAL COUNCIL
It was full moon in the sky, and the final two were walking in one straight line with their torches really slowly, making sure we get the time to clearly see the tribal council setting one last time. Shirin entered first, followed by Colby. Jeff was watching them enter. Colby just put his torch on a hold, and Shirin just sat down.Jeff Probst - Now bringing the members of the jury... Artis, Tina, Morgan, Brendan, Erinn, Alina... and Cassandra, voted out last tribal council!
We could see Cassandra completely cleaned with street clothes, sitting down in last on the opposite side.
Jeff Probst - Colby... Shirin... congratulations! You have gone as far as you could go in this game! The power in the game now shifts from you guys... to the jury!
We could see all seven jurors.
Jeff Probst - Seven people that you had a hand either directly or indirectly in voting out of this game, now hold your faith in their hands.
We could see finalists and jury look at each other.
Jeff Probst - Tonight, they're gonna be gathering information to help them make a million dollar decision. You will each get a chance to make an opening statement. Why do you deserve to win this game? The jury will then get a chance to address you, and then we vote. Ready to get started?
Both Colby and Shirin nod.
Jeff Probst - Shirin, you're first!
Shirin looks at the jury.
Shirin - Hey y'all. I'm terrible at talking myself up and I feel like a deer in headlights right now, so bear with me. Colby and I are kind of like two sides of the same coin. We both started out in an extremely powerful original tribe and were both able to ride the Chencha wave all the way up until Morgan's boot. Neither of us were ever really in any major danger prior to that point. For this reason, I can admit that I don't have quite the glorious fighting resumé that someone like Cassandra would have if she had made it here in my place. My playstyle was almost excessively under the radar, to the point where people no doubt came to think of me as nothing but a goat, ideal for slaughter at final tribal council. Perception is reality in these games, and it is what all of you think that matters in the end, so my job is to convince you guys to see me and my game the way that I have come to. I'd like to think that for the most part I helped my tribe to win these challenges, even if I sat out sometimes, and I was helpful around camp, remaking the fire and collecting food. I will openly admit that I am lucky to have been on the winning side of things for the entirety of pre-merge. I do not think I was seen as being as valuable to my tribes as some others, so I can only assume I would have been screwed if we had lost half as much as we had won.
Alina smiles and Shirin continues.
Shirin - Early in the merge, I built a bond with Alina, and she became my number one. Everything I did from that point onwards was dedicated to advancing the two of us towards the end. I trusted her implicitly and every move we took part in was made in our combined best interest. I let Alina kind of be the one who was out there making and breaking bonds while I plotted away behind the scenes. Flipping on Erinn did reveal mine and Alina's hand, though, and so we had no choice but to force the tiebreaker against Cass at F4, which Alina unfortunately lost. I fucked up really early on in the final immunity challenge but I think I would have had a good shot if I hadn't had a momentary lapse in concentration *chuckles*. Either way, I'm here now, so it all worked out. I'm pretty sure Colby brought me here because he thinks he can beat me easily. I certainly talked up my goat status a lot so that people would think I had no shot at winning at the end. Whether I actually do have any semblance of a chance is totally up to you guys. In any case, thank you all for the game. It's been chill.
Jeff Probst - Colby.
Colby looked at the jurors.
Colby - Hello Jurors, so the only strategy that made sense to me was to talk to people, get to know and ''feel'' them and make connections. The 3 people I felt I could trust were Alina, Erinn and Brendan and I was aligned with them pretty much through the whole game. Luckily, Chencha was a pretty strong tribe and a few of us never attended Tribal Council in the pre-merge. My plan was to go with Alina and Erinn all the way and eventually to the end with Alina but that changed when Erinn was voted out and I realized she was probably taking Shirin to the finals no matter what, so I had to make sure I wasn't going to be voted out in 3rd place. Even though I didn't wanna make myself a big threat, I stepped up my game and dominated and won the most challenges a person has won in a single season. I tried to play a loyal game and except for Alina and Cassandra, I can say I did it. While I'm not proud of having to vote them out, it was what I needed to do to get to the end and they were purely game moves. I know some of you might have some animosity towards me but I can't be expected to just lay down and let you win, it's just a game after all and all I did was to get here and try to get that check. All in all, I'm not gonna say I played a perfect game but I feel like it was a solid one. I fought, I laid low when I needed to, never had a vote against me, I won hard challenges, I worked and contributed around camp and I never gave up.
Jeff Probst – Alright, jury heard what they had to hear, I’ll give them a minute to think of a question for one or both finalists.
We could see the jury wondering for a while.
Jeff Probst – Alright, Jury. Some of you have waited a long time for a chance to address the final two that voted you out of this game. Your job tonight is simple : gather information to help you make a million dollar decision. Let's get it started. Artis, you're up!
Artis stands up from his jury seat and places himself in front of the final two.
Artis - Hello! Congrats to making to to the final two. I'm going to keep this short because I don't have anything to say to the either of you, but since I have to ask you a question, here it goes... Did you expect to make it to the end?
Artis looked at Colby.
Colby - I was 80% sure I was going to the end, especially after Morgan left. However, I started getting worried that I was starting to be a big threat after I won my second immunity challenge and after the Erinn vote but that gave me more will to keep fighting and after Alina went home I knew I was in a good position to be sitting here.
He then looked at Shirin.
Shirin - Pre merge: absolutely not. Post merge: Yes, one way or another. I was either getting here with Alina (the ideal) or I was going to be taken by whoever won the final immunity challenge, either because they liked me more or because they saw me as an easy beat - or some combination of both -.
Artis nodded, and looked at Jeff to tell he's done. He goes back to his seat, and Tina takes his spot.
Tina - Are we at the final tribal council already? I'm bored with the two of you being the final two because, in my eyes you were two of the absolute most boring people I've ever come accross.
Tina looks at Colby.
Tina - I talked to Colby once or twice and it was like pulling sword from the stone to keep the conversation going.
She then looks at Shirin.
Tina - And Shirin, from what I could tell, was never talking. The only credit I can give to her is she seemed mildly amusing and enjoyable during the tribal chats. So basically tell me which one of you is the least boring basic bitch and why you think that so we can try to salvage what has been an incredibly boring and almost predictable game.
Tina points at Cass on the jury.
Tina - Thank you Cass for throwing a couple of wrenches... you should absolutely have won the entire game and have been robbed so hardcore.
Shirin - I promise you would love me if you knew me Tina. I obviously just wanted to give everyone else a chance to shine, and shine you did. I didn't even want to vote you out because you were such a beautiful ray of light, but I guess being old is a curse in Ethiopia.
Tina stared at Colby.
Colby - Oh Tina... I wish you have showed me all that sass when talking to me because I would have loved it but I guess none of us really made the effort to talk to each other that much. I know sometimes I would not talk a lot but at the same time, I didn't want to give you any false hope or unecessary lies, especially to you and Artis but the fact of the matter is that you guys weren't in my plans or Chencha's plans. Shirin and I might be basic boring bitches but c'mon, I have the better body. Just look at my pecs, abs, biceps and triceps.
Tina raised her eye brows and returns to her seat, replaced by Brendan.
Brendan - Congratulations to the two of you. I don't have any question for you, I already know who I am voting for.
Jeff Probst - Alright, no question from Brendan. Next.
Cassandra swaps place with Brendan.
Cassandra - Colby, I gave you a lot of reasons to why Shirin played a stronger game than you, many of which she included in her opening statement. However, you were so sure that she "sucked," and you played better. Please explain to me how you played better than Shirin. I don't want to hear about challenge strength in your answer, because that isn't important to me. For me, social gameplay is the most important and that's why I want to know specifically how you had a stronger social game than Shirin.
Colby - While I agree that my social game could've been better, to some of you (especially you) I opened up about myself and what I like to do (hobbies, what I do, where I live, age, etc). I could've been private and not tell any of these things, but I still did. And vice-versa. I can tell you a little bit about most of you guys and I couldn't have known that without talking to people. If I hadn't talked to Erinn, Alina and Brendan and been in an alliance with them it would've been harder for me to get here. If I hadn't talked to you and befriended you and trusted you, you would've been out in 4th place. So yeah, my social game wasn't perfect and I wish I could've been better at it, but it still helped me to get to the finals.
Cassandra - Shirin, my question to you is, do you think you can explain a little more how much of your game was you playing up being a goat and not doing much, and how much of it was actually disengagement from the game?
Shirin - I intentionally played up the goat factor to make up for what I saw as a lack of social interaction on my part. Maintaining relationships with only a few key people and passing myself off as goaty is probably a pretty shady way to navigate through the game, I know, but it certainly worked out in the end (well, as far as getting me here goes). I was a pretty strong competitor in both tribal and individual challenges, I was active in camp life and I was a huge part of the two biggest post merge votes. My biggest thing was probably convincing Alina to vote for Erinn at 5 instead of you. I don't know what your intention with your vote was if I hadn't told you I was going to go after Erinn, but I assume Alina or I would have been idoled out. I was able to keep both you and Alina (my favourite people in the game and the two people I considered allies) as well as myself alive that round. I did what I needed to do to get here. I don't believe I just floated.
Cassandra looked at both one more time.
Cassandra - Thank you! Good luck.
She swaps place with Alina.
Alina - Congrats to both of you, I'm glad its Chencha strong and that two people who were original Chencha the entire game made it to the end. Shirin, you know how much I love you all ready you were my rock to stay chill at all times. What is your proudest moment in this game?
Shirin - It's hard to pinpoint a single proudest moment in the game to be honest. This is a cop out answer, but making final tribal council is a pretty proud achievement, whether or not people believe I was dragged here. Include the Morgan and Erinn votes, pretty much everything we strategically plotted for together. Love you bee.
Alina stares at Colby.
Alina - Colby, congrats, I'd been working and aligned with you since the very beginning and enjoyed every minute of our alliance. Why did you vote for me over Cass at Final 4? It seemed like an unnecessary thing from my perspective. I'm assuming you made a deal with Cass to go to the Final 2 if she voted me to increase your odds 2/3 in the Final IC and TC. I just feel like you had the same outcome from F4 or F3 and didn't know why you would choose to vote me and ruin a potential of my vote that I could've understood at Final 3 much better had you said I was a threat then.
Colby - As you know, we were together pretty much since the beginning and soon enough I chose you and saw myself going to the finals with you and Erinn (if it was a Final 3). However, that changed when you and Shirin turned on Erinn. That's when I realized you were more closer to Shirin than I thought/wanted because you trusted her more to work with her and I felt that I had no chance to go to the finals if I was alone with you two. You could have told me, not sure if I would've went along with it but it was worth a try. So yeah, after that I turned to Cassandra and told her my plan so that would increase my odds of getting to the finals and I would also have someone stronger than Shirin to win the final challenge. It was a really hard vote to cast but it's what I needed to do to get myself here.
Alina - Once again, congrats Shirin and Colby. Jeff thanks for an awesome game, I know you worked really hard and it paid off. I can't wait to read the episodes! And thanks to the cast for being cool and keeping it that way.
Alina returns to her seat, and she swaps with Morgan.
Morgan - Colby, you definitely were a gladiator in those last four individual immunity challenges, but to me, your social game was severely lacking. You and I hadn't even really talked until the merge hit. If you could go back and change one thing about your game, what would it be and why?
Colby - One thing I would change was precisely that, my communication with other people. I am aware that I seemed kinda disinterested in conversations and that's something you need for people to trust you and to want to play with you. I'm not gonna come here and say it was all an act and that I did it on purpose so people wouldn't take me seriously and not vote me out because I think that's silly and the easiest and lamest excuse to give to people.
Morgan - Shirin, you were quite arguably the biggest goat in the game. Was that part of your strategy to make it to the end and explain to people how you were actually playing the game the whole time and leading people to believe that you were this big goat?
Shirin - There might have been some truth to it, but my head was definitely in the game, even if I wasn't talking much as I rightly should have been - though by the sounds of it, Colby wasn't either -. Playing up the goat image might be a "lame" strategy, but it's also one that works. if Colby and I both had weak ass social games, you can only really compare physical and strategic gameplay. Colby got by on immunity challenges alone, and while my challenge performance was nowhere near on his level, it was still pretty good. I won an individual immunity and was a serious contender in many other postmerge challenges. strategically, Colby was only part of your blindside rounds after Alina and I had thought the plan up.
Colby interrupts her.
Colby - Just because ''you'' and Alina talked about booting Morgan before she actually did it doesn't mean that I hadn't thought the same. Just like I thought voting you off at 6th place had Chencha been the final 6. And you were only able to vote off Morgan because Erinn and I agreed because you could easily been voted off that round.
Shirin - Ok, but your plan to get rid of me never came to fruition, did it? And it's just as well you and Erinn agreed to it, or Morgan might very well be here instead of you (which it seems a lot of these people would prefer).
Shirin looks at the jury.
Shirin - And he was out of the loop completely when it came to Erinn's boot at F5. He had little to no strategic influence on the post merge (unlike myself) and took me to final tribal council because he obviously saw me as a "lame" "goat" that "tries too hard". I think it's kinda "lame" to take the person you perceive as an easy beat to the end when your own game was less than spectacular. *chuckles*
Colby - If it wasn't for Alina you wouldn't be here, and you didn't even approached me when I won the final challenge. I mean how lazy can you get?
Shirin - And you brought me anyway, didn't you? I had no interest in talking game with you because by the time there was a reason to do so (e.g. as our riding of the chencha wave came to an end) I had already decided I had no strategic future with you and had put my eggs in other baskets accordingly. that worked for me. I had no plans nor desire to make alliances that I didn't intend to stick to.
Colby - We didn't have to be aligned to talk to me. I didn't wanna make any alliances I didn't want to either and I still approached people. That's why I think a) you were lazy during the game and the only person you really played with was with Alina; b) you're making it look like you were much more than you were.
Shirin - In the end, the jury chooses whether I'm as much of a flop as you seem to think I am. if you win then I will absolutely give you full props and will not be bitter in the slightest, but until that happens, please take a seat.
Alina laughs.
Colby - But you're correct, they're the ones who are gonna choose and not me but I felt like I had to say something.
Shirin nods, Morgan listened to everything.
Morgan - Thank you.
She returns to her seat and swaps with Erinn.
Jeff Probst - Alright, Erinn, close it out!
Erinn - Congrats to the both of you...even if you two are probably the least exciting two people who could have made it to the end. Colby, you were definitely more talkative than Shirin. I, personally, appreciate that you didn't vote against me when I got voted out, even though you didn't know I was going. You were the most loyal to me in this game out of anyone so I have to give that some credit. For your question, what was the most challenging decision/moment for you in this game?
Colby - My most challenging decision was going back on my plan to have an all Chencha final 3 and have Cassandra in it instead as well as going back on my plan to take Alina to the end with me. When Shirin and her turned on you I knew they were probably gonna take each other to the final 2 so I just decided to throw a wrench in their plans and maybe if either Cassandra or Shirin had won that last challenge they both would have taken me to the final 2.
Erinn - Shirin, I don't even know what to say. I'm still trying to figure out what you like actually did. It seems almost every single person I talked to said they didn't like you or were indifferent towards you since it felt like you were talking once a week honestly. At times, you did so well at playing dead that I thought you might actually be dead. You can try to convince me you got to the end by skill, but it was truly luck. You never went to tribal pre-merge and you were a goat post-merge. I want you to convince me why you are not a goat. Throughout this game, it seems you didn't have a good perception on much. Did you even know that the hidden immunity idol Cass played was actually mine?
Shirin - There was totally a lot of luck involved in me getting here, but it's pretty much the same for Colby, except he won some key immunities on top of that. I made the one strong alliance I needed to navigate through the post-Gorgora minefield, and also got Cass to like me. I never really needed immunity. Alina and I were plotting Morgan's blindside rounds before it actually happened. I convinced Alina to vote for you. If I hadn't, one of us would have been idoled out. I assumed the idol was yours - after Morgan did not have it I thought that you must have picked it up - and that did admittedly make me second guess my decision to put votes on you at final five. I know I seemed like I was dead in the water a lot of the time, but I was here and I was strategising and thinking about the game a lot more than you might think. If I had won the final challenge I would have taken Cass out of solidarity because I had grown to adore her, just saying.
Erinn - Thank you both for your honest and thorough answers! I apologize if I was sassy and aggressive, but I just wanted to see you guys come at me guns ablazing. Good luck to the both of you!
Erinn returns to her seat.
Jeff Probst – Alright jury, you’ve heard from Colby and Shirin, you’ve had a chance to address them…
While Jeff was naming them, we could see their face.
Jeff Probst - … you should have all the information you need to decide who’s most deserving of the title of Sole Survivor and a million dollars that goes along with it…
We could see all the jury faces one by one, staring at the finalists.
Jeff Probst – Tonight, you are voting for a WINNER. For the last time… it is time to vote…
We could see Alina on the edge of the jury bench.
Jeff Probst – Alina, you’re up!
Alina stood up from her seat and went to the voting booth. She quickly wrote a name down, and put it in the urn, and she is followed by Erinn and Tina. Artis just arrived, and after taking a short moment of thinking, he wrote a name down, bent his paper, and put it in the urn. Brendan just arrived at the voting booth as well, followed by Cassandra who just put her vote in the urn. Finally, Morgan arrived and she started thinking a while to make up her mind, twisting her pencil a few times. She finally wrote something down, and after putting her vote in the urn, she returned to her seat.
Jeff Probst – For the last time, I’ll tally the votes…
While Jeff was gone counting the votes, we could see Colby and Shirin. Colby looked a little more nervous, and we could see some of the jurors looking at Jeff coming back with the turn that he finally put down. He looked at the final two.
Jeff Probst – Colby…
We could see Colby and we could realize how much beard had grown over so many days.
Jeff Probst – Shirin…
We could see that Shirin also looked completely nasty compared to the jury.
Jeff Probst – The seven votes inside this urn are about to make one of you a millionaire… But you’re gonna have to wait… just a bit longer!
Jeff grinned.
Jeff Probst – I’ll see you back in New York for the reading of the votes.
Jeff took the urn and walked away with it. Everyone were looking at him leaving the whole cast alone at tribal council. Some of the jury were smiling to each other and Jeff finally disappeared in the savanna…
